About Logical Levels in Change

Dilts's logical levels are linguistic sorting patterns that help you understand if someone is dealing with an identity-level issue by trying to use behavior-level techniques. When a problem exists at a certain logical level, only techniques that can intervene at that level can make a difference. Learning to match logical levels linguistically and move between them is a key skill in being able to understand someone's model of the world and help them get the results they want.


Stever's presentation goes beyond the traditional NLP logical levels and shows how logical levels exist and relate to each other in many different ways. Medical NLP: Three Steps to Creating Choice

Here, Garner Thomson, NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer, and creator of the Medical NLP programme taught to doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and medical students from the UK and abroad, outlines a simple, three-step process for creating the neurological foundations for flexibility, choice and effective action. In conversation with Society of Medical NLP co-founder Dr Khalid Khan, Garner Thomson - author of Magic in Practice: Introducing Medical NLP - The Art and Science of Language in Healing and Health (Hammermsith Press 2008), explains how to create "buy-in" for new ideas and their execution, and shows how the patient or client can be guided into new and productive directions in a matter of minutes.


Although the process seems casual and conversational, it is powerful, effective and long-lasting. Medical NLP, like its parent model, NLP, aims to expand choices rather than simply to remove problems, and the three-step process outlined here can be used as effectively in sales, business and sports performance, as in personal relationships, therapy and the delivery of health care.
